- 6 cups of cubed bread
- 2 cups of wild berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed bread and wild berries.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and melted butter.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and berries, mixing gently to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden and set.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
- Drizzle with your choice of sauce before serving.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better texture.
- Feel free to mix different types of berries.
- This dish can be served warm or cold.
