- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, butter, sugar, egg, and salt until it forms a dough.
- Press the dough into a pie pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine milk, eggs, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
- Pour the custard into the baked crust.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

- Let the cake cool completely before chilling.
- Top with powdered sugar before serving.
