  • 34 pounds beef brisket
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the brisket and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Mix brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper in a bowl and rub it all over the brisket.
  3. Sear the brisket in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides, then transfer to the slow cooker.
  4. Pour beef broth and BBQ sauce over the brisket, cover, and cook on low for 8-10 hours until tender.
