Description

Teriyaki Salmon is a flavorful dish featuring salmon fillets marinated in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium heat.
  4. Remove salmon from marinade and reserve the marinade.
  5. Cook the salmon for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine reserved marinade, cornstarch, and water. Bring to a boil and stir until thickened.
  7. Serve salmon drizzled with thickened teriyaki sauce, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate the salmon for up to 2 hours.
  • You can substitute honey for brown sugar if desired.
  • Serve with steamed rice and vegetables for a complete meal.
