Description

A hearty and comforting slow cooker dish featuring tender steak and creamy cheddar potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of steak, cut into cubes
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup of cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the steak cubes.
  2. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the slow cooker.
  3. Add the browned steak, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika on top of the potatoes.
  4. Layer the remaining potatoes over the steak mixture.
  5. Pour beef broth over the layers.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  7. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • You can add vegetables like carrots or peas for more nutrition.
  • For a thicker consistency, mix cornstarch with water and add to the slow cooker during the last hour.
