Description

A comforting Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Casserole that combines the classic flavors of Caesar salad with tender chicken and creamy goodness.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)
  • 4 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup Caesar dressing
  • 2 cups croutons
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker and season with garlic powder and black pepper.
  2. Pour the Caesar dressing over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Add the chopped romaine lettuce on top of the chicken and dressing mixture.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the lettuce layer.
  5. Add the croutons on top of the cheese layer.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
  7. Once cooking is complete, drizzle the lemon juice over the casserole.
  8. Gently mix the casserole before serving and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
  • Reheat in the microwave or stovetop until heated through.
  • For freezing, do so before adding lettuce and croutons.
