Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the BBQ sauce, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt and pepper into the melted garlic butter.
  4. Pour the garlic butter BBQ sauce over the shrimp in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or on high for 1-1.5 hours until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  6. Gently stir the shrimp to coat them in the sauce again and transfer to a serving platter, garnishing with parsley.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the microwave or stovetop until heated through.
  • Freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months.
