- 1.5 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the shrimp by rinsing them under cold water and patting them dry.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in the BBQ sauce, lemon juice, paprika, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt and pepper into the melted garlic butter.
- Pour the garlic butter BBQ sauce over the shrimp in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or on high for 1-1.5 hours until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- Gently stir the shrimp to coat them in the sauce again and transfer to a serving platter, garnishing with parsley.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the microwave or stovetop until heated through.
- Freeze in a freezer-safe container for up to 2 months.
