Salisbury Steak Meatballs served with Garlic Herb Mashed Potatoes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake meatballs for 25 minutes or until cooked through.
  5. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add flour to create a roux.
  6. Slowly whisk in beef broth until smooth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add cooked meatballs to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
  8. In a pot, boil potatoes until tender, then drain.
  9. Add garlic, milk, butter, and parsley to potatoes and mash until smooth.
  10. Serve meatballs over mashed potatoes with gravy.

  • Use lean ground beef for a healthier option.
  • Adjust seasonings to taste.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
