- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar marinara sauce (24 oz)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain excess fat.
- Add garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the beef; mix well.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Add half of the beef mixture, half of the ricotta, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat layers, ending with noodles and topping with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use whole wheat noodles for a healthier option.
- Let leftovers cool completely before storing in the fridge.
- You can add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
