Delicious mozzarella pretzel bites, perfect for snacking.
Ingredients

- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten
- Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- In a bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small pieces and wrap each piece around a mozzarella cube.
- In a separate pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil and add baking soda.
- Drop the pretzel bites into the boiling water for 30 seconds. Remove and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush each bite with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with marinara sauce.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- You can use other types of cheese if desired.
