Description

A comforting dish that combines mac and cheese with meatloaf in a casserole format.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the onion and garlic until soft.
  3. In a bowl, combine ground beef, cooked macaroni, cooked onion and garlic, milk, egg, salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix in half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  6. Top with breadcrumbs and remaining cheese.
  7. Drizzle ketchup over the top.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes until heated through and cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Let the casserole sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for ground beef.
  • Add vegetables like peas or bell peppers for extra nutrition.
