Description

Layered Burrito Casserole is a hearty dish that combines layers of tortillas, beans, cheese, and flavorful spices, perfect for a satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can black beans, drained
  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add black beans, refried beans, salsa, chili powder, and cumin to the skillet. Stir to combine.
  4. In a baking dish, layer 2 tortillas on the bottom.
  5. Spread half of the beef mixture over the tortillas.
  6. Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheese.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining tortillas, beef mixture, and cheese.
  8. Top with sour cream and green onions.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Feel free to add your favorite vegetables.
  • Can substitute ground turkey for beef.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
