Homemade Butter Chicken is a rich and creamy dish made with tender chicken pieces cooked in a spiced tomato sauce.

- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in yogurt for at least 1 hour.
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté onions until soft.
- Add garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and salt.
- Add marinated chicken and cook until no longer pink.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro before serving.

- Serve with rice or naan.
