Gingerbread pancakes topped with a warm spiced syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, molasses, and oil.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
  6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with spiced syrup.
