Description

A creamy and rich eggnog pudding topped with fluffy whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups eggnog
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine eggnog, sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Whisk over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks and gradually add a small amount of the hot eggnog mixture.
  4. Return the egg yolk mixture to the saucepan and cook for another minute.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and nutmeg.
  6. Pour into serving dishes and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours.
  7. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  8. Top the chilled pudding with whipped cream before serving.
