Delicious and rich Eggnog Gooey Butter Bars with a festive twist.
Ingredients

- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 1 egg.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the eggs, powdered sugar, eggnog, nutmeg, and vanilla to the cream cheese and mix well.
- Pour the eggnog mixture over the cake layer.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the center is set.
- Let it cool before slicing into bars.
Notes
- Serve chilled or at room temperature.
- Garnish with whipped cream and additional nutmeg if desired.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
