Easy German Chocolate Poke Cake

Description

A simple and delicious German chocolate poke cake that is moist and rich with chocolate flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Once baked, let the cake cool for 10 minutes.
  3. Poke holes all over the top of the cake with a fork.
  4. In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk and sugar. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  5. Stir in coconut and pecans, then pour the mixture over the cake, filling the holes.
  6. Let the cake cool completely.
  7. Spread chocolate frosting over the top of the cake before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the frosting.
