Description
A simple and delicious German chocolate poke cake that is moist and rich with chocolate flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan.
- Once baked, let the cake cool for 10 minutes.
- Poke holes all over the top of the cake with a fork.
- In a saucepan, combine evaporated milk and sugar. Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Stir in coconut and pecans, then pour the mixture over the cake, filling the holes.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Spread chocolate frosting over the top of the cake before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- For extra flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract to the frosting.
- Serve with whipped cream for added richness.
