A rich and creamy dark chocolate peppermint mousse tart with a crunchy crust.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a tart pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
- Melt dark chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler.
- Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- Mix in peppermint extract and powdered sugar.
- Fold melted chocolate into the whipped cream.
- Pour the mousse into the cooled tart shell.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Top with crushed peppermint candies before serving.
