Description

A hearty and comforting dish made with ground meat, vegetables, and mashed potatoes, cooked slowly in a crockpot.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
  2. Add onion, carrots, and garlic to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  3. Transfer the meat and vegetable mixture to the crockpot.
  4. Add peas, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the crockpot.
  5. Stir to combine all ingredients.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  7. Spread mashed potatoes on top of the meat mixture before serving.

Notes

  • Use leftover mashed potatoes for a quicker preparation.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or green beans.
  • Top with cheese for added flavor.
