Description

A delightful dessert combining sweet peaches and nectarines with a crunchy topping, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (about 45 medium peaches)
  • 4 cups ripe nectarines, sliced (about 45 medium nectarines)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • A pinch of salt
  • Optional: Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit by washing and slicing the peaches and nectarines, then toss with 1/2 cup of brown sugar and let sit for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix the topping by combining rolled oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt, then add melted butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Assemble in the crockpot by greasing it, pouring in the fruit mixture, and topping with the oat mixture.
  4. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.

  • For a vegan option, replace butter with coconut oil or vegan butter.
