Description

A delightful dish that combines sweet and savory flavors with juicy chicken simmered in a rich honey peach barbecue sauce.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)
  • 1/2 cup honey (120 ml)
  • 1/2 cup peach preserves (120 g)
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (240 ml)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (5 g)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (5 g)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh peach slices and chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the bottom of your crockpot. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine honey, peach preserves, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
  3. Pour the honey peach BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, remove the chicken breasts and shred them into bite-sized pieces.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir it into the remaining sauce.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat, warm in the microwave or on the stovetop.
  • For freezing, place in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
