Description
A delightful dish that combines sweet and savory flavors, featuring tender and flaky salmon infused with a rich honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 1.5 lbs or 680 g)
- 1/3 cup honey (100 g)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (60 ml)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (15 ml)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk until well combined and set aside.
- Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place them in the crockpot, skin side down, ensuring they are arranged in a single layer for even cooking.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the salmon fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
- Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. For a caramelized finish, switch the crockpot to high for the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place the salmon in the microwave for a minute or two until warmed through.
- If freezing, wrap the salmon tightly in plastic wrap and then in foil; it can last up to 2 months in the freezer.
