A delightful dish that combines sweet and savory flavors, featuring tender and flaky salmon infused with a rich honey garlic sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (1/2 stick)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Whisk together until well blended.
- Lightly grease the bottom of the crockpot with olive oil.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Arrange the salmon fillets in the crockpot in a single layer and pour the honey garlic sauce over the top.
- Cut the butter into small pieces and scatter them on top of the salmon fillets.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Notes
- For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
- Maple syrup can replace honey for a vegan alternative.
- Use olive oil instead of butter for a lighter version.
- Add lemon slices on top of the salmon before cooking for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place the salmon in the microwave for a minute or two, or warm it gently on the stove.
