Description

A hearty and comforting Crockpot Hamburger and Potato Casserole that combines ground beef, tender potatoes, and creamy cheese, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  2. Prepare the crockpot by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray or greasing it with olive oil.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the crockpot, followed by half of the cooked beef mixture, one can of cream of mushroom soup, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers, finishing with the last cup of cheese on top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the potatoes are tender and cheese is melted.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • For freezing, portion out and freeze for up to 3 months.
  • Reheat in the microwave or oven until heated through.
