Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, French onion soup, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Transfer the mixture to a piece of parchment paper or directly into the crockpot. Shape it into a loaf form.
- Cover the crockpot with its lid and set it to low heat. Cook for about 6 to 8 hours, or until the meatloaf reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the top of the meatloaf and allow it to melt.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place slices in the microwave or thaw and reheat from frozen.
- Let the meatloaf rest for a few minutes before slicing to keep it moist.
