- 1 cup apricot preserves (about 240 g)
- 1/2 cup soy sauce (about 120 ml)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken by rinsing and patting dry.
- Make the glaze by combining apricot preserves, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Coat the chicken in the glaze and place in the crockpot.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until tender.
- For crispy skin, transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 220°C (425°F) for 10-15 minutes.

- For gluten-free, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
- Honey can replace apricot preserves for a different sweetness.
