Description

Crispy Air Fryer Catfish is a delicious, healthier alternative to traditional fried catfish. It is easy to prepare and cooks quickly in an air fryer, resulting in a crunchy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 catfish fillets
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cornmeal, flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk.
  4. Dip each catfish fillet in the egg mixture, then coat with the cornmeal mixture.
  5. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  6. Place the coated fillets in the basket in a single layer.
  7. Spray the tops of the fillets with cooking spray.
  8. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  9. Check for doneness; the fish should be flaky and golden brown.
