Ingredients

  • Fettuccine pasta – 12 oz (340 g)
  • Ground beef – 1 lb (450 g)
  • Heavy cream – 1 cup (240 ml)
  • Parmesan cheese, grated – 1 cup (about 100 g)
  • Garlic, minced – 4 cloves
  • Butter – 4 tablespoons (60 g)
  • Black pepper – to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped – 1/4 cup (for garnish)
  • Salt – to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of pasta water.
  2. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it apart, and season with salt and black pepper. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer, then add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce. Season with additional salt and black pepper if necessary. Serve on plates, topped with remaining butter and garnished with fresh parsley.
