  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, place the whole chicken and cover with chicken broth.
  2. Add carrots, celery, and onion. Bring to a boil, then simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken and let it cool. Shred the meat, discarding the skin and bones.
  4. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix in melted butter and milk until a dough forms.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough into the simmering broth. Cook for about 15 minutes until dumplings are fluffy.
  7. Add shredded chicken back to the pot and stir gently to combine.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy.
