Healthy and nutritious breakfast option made with quinoa, apples, and cinnamon.
Ingredients

- 1 cup quinoa
- 2 cups water
- 2 apples, diced
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup almond milk (or any milk of choice)
Instructions
- Rinse quinoa under cold water.
- In a pot, combine quinoa and water. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until water is absorbed.
- In a separate pan, sauté diced apples with cinnamon until tender.
- Fluff cooked quinoa with a fork and combine with sautéed apples.
- Add honey or maple syrup and mix well.
- Serve warm with almond milk and chopped walnuts on top.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Try adding other fruits or nuts as desired.
