Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and bake.
- Let the cake cool completely, then crumble it into a large bowl.
- Add softened butter, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to the crumbled cake.
- Mix until you have a dough-like consistency.
- Shape the mixture into small tree shapes and place them on a baking sheet.
- Chill the formed truffles in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Melt green candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Dip each truffle into the melted candy and place back on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with festive decorations while the coating is still wet.
- Let the truffles set before serving.
