- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the meat; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce on the bottom.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
- Spread half of the ricotta cheese over the noodles, followed by one-third of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta, mozzarella.
- Top with remaining noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, omit meat and add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
- Make ahead and refrigerate for up to 24 hours before baking.
- Use fresh herbs for added flavor if desired.
