Description

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine the eggnog, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • This bread can be frozen for up to three months.
  • Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar on top for presentation.
