Description

Creamy and cheesy macaroni inspired by Chick-fil-A’s recipe.


Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add flour and whisk for 1 minute until smooth.
  4. Slowly add milk, whisking continuously until thickened.
  5. Stir in salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  6. Add shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted.
  7. Add cooked macaroni to the cheese sauce and mix well.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add cooked bacon or breadcrumbs on top.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
