Description

A classic cherry cobbler made with fresh cherries and a buttery topping.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cherries, sugar, and cornstarch. Pour into a baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Stir until blended.
  5. Pour the batter over the cherries in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • Feel free to use frozen cherries if fresh are not available.
