A classic cherry cobbler made with fresh cherries and a buttery topping.
Ingredients

- 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix cherries, sugar, and cornstarch. Pour into a baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add melted butter, milk, and vanilla to the dry ingredients. Stir until blended.
- Pour the batter over the cherries in the baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Feel free to use frozen cherries if fresh are not available.
