Description

A delicious and easy recipe for making pizza using a cast iron skillet.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, vegetables, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  6. Grease a cast iron skillet with olive oil.
  7. Spread the dough in the skillet, pressing it to the edges.
  8. Spread pizza sauce over the dough.
  9. Add mozzarella cheese and your choice of toppings.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought pizza dough for convenience.
  • Experiment with different sauces and cheeses.
  • Make sure the skillet is hot before adding the dough for a crispier crust.
