Description

Cannoli cookies are a delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, combining the flavors of cannoli in a cookie form.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light.
  4. Add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
  5. Stir in ricotta cheese until combined.
  6. Gradually add flour mixture to wet ingredients.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Allow cookies to cool completely before dusting with powdered sugar.
