Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add pumpkin puree and maple syrup, mixing well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips.
  8. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
