Description
A hearty chili made with turkey, apples, and sage for a unique flavor.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground turkey over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the apples, tomatoes, kidney beans, and chicken broth.
- Add sage, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust spices according to your taste.
- Can be topped with cheese or sour cream.
- Chili can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
