Description
Turkish Revani is a sweet semolina cake soaked in syrup, popular in Turkish cuisine.
Ingredients

- 1 cup semolina
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix semolina, sugar, yogurt, vegetable oil, eggs, baking powder, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- While the cake bakes, prepare the syrup by boiling water and lemon juice with sugar until dissolved.
- Once the cake is done, cut it into squares and pour the syrup over it.
- Let it soak for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Serve with whipped cream or nuts if desired.
- Store in an airtight container to keep moist.
