Description

A delicious strawberry cream layer cake perfect for celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar together.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  8. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  11. Whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  12. Layer the cakes with whipped cream and sliced strawberries in between.
  13. Frost the top and sides with remaining whipped cream and decorate with strawberries.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for better flavor.
  • Chill the heavy cream for better whipping.
  • Store in the refrigerator if not served immediately.
