Description

Delicious soft baked maple donut bars with a sweet glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, and maple syrup.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool before icing.
  8. For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  9. Spread the glaze over the cooled bars.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Can substitute almond milk for buttermilk.
  • Adjust maple syrup to taste for sweetness.
