Description

These salted caramel chocolate sugar cookie bars combine the sweetness of sugar cookies with rich chocolate and a touch of salted caramel.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Spread half of the cookie dough into a greased baking dish.
  8. Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the dough.
  9. Top with the remaining cookie dough.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
