Philly Cheesesteak Stromboli

Description

A delicious twist on the classic cheesesteak, wrapped in a golden stromboli.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef steak
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 8 oz provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1 package pizza dough
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and peppers, cooking until softened.
  3. Add the beef steak to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet.
  5. Layer the beef, onions, peppers, and provolone cheese on the dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly around the filling, pinching the ends to seal.
  7. Brush the top with olive oil and make a few slits for steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
  • Feel free to add mushrooms or other toppings.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.
