Kashmiri Pink Chai is a traditional tea from the Kashmir region, known for its unique pink color and creamy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons green tea leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a pot and add green tea leaves.
  2. Add baking soda and let it boil for 15-20 minutes until the water reduces.
  3. Whisk the mixture vigorously to aerate it, which helps in achieving the pink color.
  4. Pour in the milk and bring it to a gentle boil.
  5. Add sugar and cardamom powder, stirring until dissolved.
  6. Strain the tea into cups and garnish with chopped pistachios.

Notes

  • Using fresh green tea leaves is recommended for the best flavor.
