Description

Deliciously rich and spiced brownies with a hint of gingerbread flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  5. Mix in flour, cocoa, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  9. Let cool before cutting into squares.

  • Store brownies in an airtight container.
  • Brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
