Description
A refreshing and sweet iced tea made with juicy peaches, perfect for summer gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
- 4 black tea bags
- 1 cup of sugar (adjust to taste)
- 8 cups of water
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Wash the fresh peaches thoroughly, cut them in half, remove the pits, and slice them into wedges. Set aside.
- In a large crockpot, add the sliced peaches, black tea bags, sugar, and water. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
- Cover the crockpot with its lid and set it to cook on low heat for about 4 to 6 hours.
- After the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the tea bags from the crockpot. Strain the mixture to separate the peach slices from the liquid.
- Return the liquid to the crockpot and add the thinly sliced lemon. Allow it to steep for an additional 30 minutes on low heat.
- Let the concentrate cool to room temperature, then transfer it to airtight containers or jars and refrigerate.
- To serve, mix the peach iced tea concentrate with cold water or soda water in a 1:1 ratio, serve over ice, and garnish with additional lemon slices or fresh peach slices.
Notes
- Store any leftover iced tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- If you want to enjoy it warm, simply reheat it on the stove.
- For long-term storage, consider freezing the tea in ice cube trays.
