Description

A refreshing and sweet iced tea made with juicy peaches, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium fresh peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 4 black tea bags
  • 1 cup of sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 8 cups of water
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Wash the fresh peaches thoroughly, cut them in half, remove the pits, and slice them into wedges. Set aside.
  2. In a large crockpot, add the sliced peaches, black tea bags, sugar, and water. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Cover the crockpot with its lid and set it to cook on low heat for about 4 to 6 hours.
  4. After the cooking time is complete, carefully remove the tea bags from the crockpot. Strain the mixture to separate the peach slices from the liquid.
  5. Return the liquid to the crockpot and add the thinly sliced lemon. Allow it to steep for an additional 30 minutes on low heat.
  6. Let the concentrate cool to room temperature, then transfer it to airtight containers or jars and refrigerate.
  7. To serve, mix the peach iced tea concentrate with cold water or soda water in a 1:1 ratio, serve over ice, and garnish with additional lemon slices or fresh peach slices.

Notes

  • Store any leftover iced tea in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • If you want to enjoy it warm, simply reheat it on the stove.
  • For long-term storage, consider freezing the tea in ice cube trays.
