- 500 g ground beef
- 100 g breadcrumbs
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 100 ml maple syrup
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix everything until well combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a clean surface and shape it into a loaf.
- Lightly grease the inside of the Crockpot and place the shaped meatloaf into it.
- In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup with a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. Brush half of the maple glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
- Cover the Crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the meatloaf is cooked through.
- About 30 minutes before the cooking time is up, brush the remaining maple glaze over the meatloaf.
- Once cooked, carefully remove the meatloaf from the Crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- To reheat, place slices in the microwave.
- For longer storage, freeze the meatloaf wrapped tightly for up to 3 months.
