Description

A simple and delicious crockpot recipe for cheesy chicken and rice.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of uncooked rice
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 can of cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cups of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts at the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Add the rice on top of the chicken.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture over the chicken and rice.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Stir in the cheddar cheese before serving.

Notes

  • Can substitute brown rice for white rice, but cooking time may vary.
  • Add vegetables like peas or broccoli for extra nutrition.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
