Description
A delightful treat that combines the rich flavors of ripe bananas and warm cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with melted butter. Stir in the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Then, add the sugar and beaten egg, mixing well. Finally, fold in the flour until just combined.
- In a small bowl, combine the ground cinnamon and brown sugar.
- Grease the inside of your crockpot. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the crockpot. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top. Add the remaining batter and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Use a knife to gently swirl the mixture together.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 2 to 3 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Once done, let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil instead of butter.
- Replace the egg with a flaxseed meal for a vegan version.
- Use whole wheat flour for a healthier twist.
- Try adding nuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
